Have you considered gently washing the garment before you unravel it? That has worked well for me.

I started going through this kind of purge lately. I had COMPLETELY lost interest in one project and ultimately put it all in a bag and donated it to a local thrift. I didn't even have the motivation to frog.

While watching this video I realized that I messed up the project I’m currently working on. I added an extra increase to the second row. I’m on row 17. It’s a hat that is radially symmetrical. I am devastated but I’m going to keep going. I guess I’ll just have to keep this one for myself hehe

It took me almost two years to finish the Pure Mesh pullover. I don't even know how many times I frogged it. What finally helped was adding a lifeline every five or so rows, in case any stitches dropped or if there were errors.

I currently have two unfinished projects, a pair of gloves and a pair of socks. I dropped both of them because I didn't want to make the second part of the pair 😮‍💨

Working on a version in the round that splits for the arm holes and then meets back up to be seamed at the shoulders! Wish me luck!

I find short scarves limited use but great for under a blazer but I feel your seed stitch piece is screaming to be made into a tube and become a beanie hat . Or a tea cosy .

I'm learning knitting and using acrylic. I'm not spending lots of money on wool, esp when I'm unravelling and reknitting it all over a few times!!!! I'm gonna use the bigger, cheaper skeins.

Quite late but this is very close to planned pooling and honestly - a consistent tension is actually harder than a whacky one. The yarn will never be perfectly dyed so it's a constant doing and unraveling to adjust. I personally like it because it keeps me engaged but if one wants to turn off their brain its not a good choice haha

My hot take is that I don’t see the point in making socks. 1. They take too long just to be covered up by shoes and pants. 2. Ifs it about sustainability there are several companies that make sustainable socks and donate profits to great causes. 3. The small needles and yarn is too finicky and it isn’t fun to me.

I work in forensic medicine (so trigger warning, I will talk about death!): It is fortunately a rare thing, but since the institute belongs to the university clinic, I sometimes see babys that for some reason could never have lived and have thus been aborted in later stages of pregancy. I just want to assure you that no one is going to rip them to shreds! These children are the most fragile beings that I've ever seen and everyone involved handles them with utmost care! Even after having done this job some time, I will often get emotional, because they usually arrive wrapped in baby blankets and with small stuffed toys, sometimes also with notes from the medical team that they tried everything they could. I am so sorry for their families that had to make the choice to abort the pregnancy. To say this decision is made lightly is just cruel.

I think I have currently 3 crochet WIPs which isn't a lot, but I'm creating a pattern, a baby blanket for my sister's baby, and a top for my little sister, I also have like- 5+ cosplays I'm trying to work on and fix/finish for friends, (currently only 1 wig, but it's about to jump up to 6 wigs 😭)

ok, FINE I am frogging a project that I really like the yarn of but I was doing a basic knit so... I think it could be better. but that is 1/2 projects I am working on with a 3rd in the design process.
